Travel Tip:
Visitors who plan to drive while in Belize will need to
carry an International Driver's License or Permit in
addition to their usual state driver's license and
passport.
Rental Vehicles
are available at the airports in many towns. You may use
your drivers' license from home country for up to 90
days. Some rental agencies do not allow their cars
across Belize's border it’s best to ask if you have
plans to cross the border into Mexico or Guatemala. Gas
stations are far distance between each other so it's
good to ask or fill up at major towns.
